No, BEEM Pedals feature eco-friendly power storage that allows them to continue glowing for up to 3 minutes after you stop pedaling. 

Smart controls of BEEM Pedals can sense the orientation of the pedals and will switch the lights automatically so that the front is always white and the rear is always red.

BEEM pedals use a 9/16” x 20 TPI (14.28 x 1.27 mm) thread, which is the most common type in the industry. Most bicycle manufacturers use this standard, so it’s very likely that your bicycle is compatible. However, we recommend double-checking your bike’s specifications before purchasing BEEM pedals to ensure a perfect fit. 

No, you don’t need a professional to install BEEM Pedals. You can easily do it yourself with a standard 14 mm wrench. Simply unscrew your old pedals and screw on your new BEEM pedals. For the right pedal, turn counterclockwise to loosen and clockwise to tighten. For the left pedal, turn clockwise to loosen and counterclockwise to tighten.
